The result will be a guidebook as a model set of recommendations for the organisation of transdisciplinary summer schools.
The goal of the guidebook is to:
- provide know-how in the form of a set of general rules for organising summer schools beyond the semester schedule of courses in higher education institutions;
- indicate basic elements of the methodology of education in the curricula of summer schools, taking account of goals, duration of classes, determination of the ECTS scoring system and indication of inspiration for creating forms and determining the methods of work, the functions of teachers and experts invited to the cooperation in the realisation of a school curriculum and the participation of environmental elements in its realisation;
- prepare a model description of organisation of the summer school within one of the chosen scopes: Summer School of Creativity and/or Summer School of Environment and/or Summer School of Civic Culture.
Taking into account the humanistic and universal approach in designing the summer schools, the guide will include clues regarding:
– general goals of the organisation of summer schools as an open and universal formula of scientific meetings for international academic community and other participants interested in the organisation of summer schools;
– methodology of organising activities based on cooperation, integration and openness within transdisciplinary and multicultural community open for all interested people (including the participants with various educational needs);
– establishment of the methods of cooperation conditioning the optimal usage of the new educational environment (in its broad sense)
